Selena Gomez and Nine Inch Nails

Whew! It's been a busy week in KamariWorld.  Here's a few updates.

Selena Gomez Nov 6, 2013
I went to Selena's concert and had a ton of fun!  A bit of a logistical nightmare with seating and disabled accessibility but all was overcome!  Selena's concert was amazing!  Along with her, the two other artists that played were Christina Grimmie and Emblem3.  I have never really listened to either, but Emblem3 was my favorite of the two.  They seemed more Alternative than Pop which is more my style these days.  Selena was amazing!  Her set design was brilliant.  It had a big red S for the runway and a G in a circle at the bottom curve of the S... sort of like my S and K.  I smiled at that one!  Her costumes were amazing!  Seriously, I'm not sure how she did it but she'd be off stage for 2 seconds and come back in another one.  I swear she's got her magic wand from Wizards of Waverly Place that would allow her to do that! HAHA!  I can't imagine how that's even possible!  But I have to say it was a great night!

Today I went with a friend and his friend to the Jimmy Kimmel Live Sound Stage in Hollywood.  I seem to be a regular there now!  The security knows me and we chat a lot.  Being disabled has it's perks.  I get to stand in the VIP area then sometimes I get to sit within an arm's length of the stage in front of the barricade.  It's pretty cool!  NIN did about 6 songs, which is not normal, they usually do 3 and stop.  I have to admit though that I didn't know many of the songs and when I heard one I knew, I had no idea it was NIN! lol  But I had a blast.

When we were coming out and walked to the car, the driver (my friend), forgot what level he parked on, so his friend and I waited for what seemed like an hour (yea, I was tired and sore from the 2 days of partying lol) and he finally found it.  It was funny!  But I got to know his friend a lot more and we had some great girl talk! lol

Well, that's about it for this week...as if that's not a full week right? lol  Now, I'm just waiting for a new script to be delivered and I'll be working on a new movie!  More details to come!  Hope you guys are having a great week like I am!

xo,
Stephanie

Dallas Buyers Club

Well, everyone by now knows I am a HUGE Jared Leto supporter.  Who wouldn't be?  He's amazing!  Anyway, I went to this movie at the midnight showing at the Hollywood Arclight Cinema Nov 1, 2013.  It was great!  Here's the costumes that were hanging in the theatre that night.  If you want a movie that will make you think, and give you something to talk about for a long time, go see this film!  I am sure this one will win an Oscar for Jared for Best Supporting Actor.  It probably will win Matthew an Oscar as well.

Went to Jane's Addiction at the Sound Stage at Jimmy Kimmel in Hollywood!  How cool!  I went with a friend named Gena.  I'll post some pics soon!

You asked, I answered.

Hello out there to all my awesome KamariWorld Citizens!

Well, I have decided to start a blog.  You asked for it, so here it is!  I will try to update it with pictures and whatever you'd like so keep me updated in what you want.  So this post will just be a tad generic trying to get everyone up to speed in what's going on and also asking some questions in what you guys want.  Ready? So let's begin...

Well, my name is Stephanie Kamari and I'm a disabled actress in Hollywood.  I have been dreaming of being an actress since I was 4 years old.  It took me 30 years to move to Los Angeles and start really acting.  In the past year, I've been working on multiple independent films.  The next one to come out was my first one when I moved to Los Angeles, Lost Time by Christian Sesma.  It's about to be released, so look for it!

As I said I'm a disabled actress.  I use crutches to walk, and that adds quite a challenge in this industry.  Disabled people on screen have a tendency to be playing a role of a disabled person.  So, I am trying to bring awareness that disabled people CAN and WANT TO act.  It is a challenge to overcome, but I am not afraid of a challenge.  I think directors are also more willing to accept people with disabilities now.  (When I started at age 4, I was told "no room in Hollywood for a disabled child actor.")

I am very happy that you're all part of KamariWorld.  Welcome Citizens! (Btw if you didn't know, Citizens is what I want to call my followers because I don't like the name fans.)  I will write more later!  Have a great day!  Let me know what you'd like me to blog about.  Leave me comments.
